dark voyage

Here, it is only every end of the year when tropical wind goes awhile for a month or two. That is why when we are stuck in the midyear claws, we are all itching to leave the town to go elsewhere high and chilly. It is a leg-numbing eight-hour ride to our popular target area, Baguio City.

I am being reminded of my Aunt's Day Care School field trip. My family were asked to come. We were excited because it was considered a reunion treat for us. Dismayingly, it was held off, due to weather condition. There was then a storm approaching. It would be dangerous if could have still decided to go. The route includes a narrow zigzag road. You will be consumed by great number awe when you feel the bus swaying, and that when you get to peek outside the window, you will see that you are a feet away from the cliff's edge... much more if it was murky and raining. The downpour makes the road slippery for running vehicles. So when obscurity starts to veil with a heavy downpour, don't go there.

By the way, if you are seeking travel thrills, I dare you to have a copy of Peter Greenberg's book, Don't Go There... and discover the you-must-miss places worldwide!
