clicking my way...

A portion of my saneness clings to the internet world. My fingers, clutched on the keyboard and my eyes locked on the laptop screen... every tick-tock, from sunup to sundown. It is how I keep a sound mind.

I am an internet surfer who wanders through different zones, online. I quite seem to hold one foot back for email registrations, blog signups, online shopping transactions and e-bank processing. Threats and identity menace, I consider it... especially when they get to necessitate my data, so as my credit card numbers and Paypal address. I see the computer network as a jungle full of stray snakes and tigers. Those, refer to scammers and hackers. They can steal your money and even your identity for some illegal acts.

Proudly, through countless hours I spent online, I have developed awareness, and defense against existing frauds and treacheries that may feed on my account. Not so long when I read about "SSL" (Secure Socket layer). This so-called innovation creates trust online by securing encryption of private information that is being processed during online negotiations. An SSL Certificate settles safe transmission and communication between a server and a client.

To verify a trusted website, look for a distinctive padlock icon neither at the lower right nor left corner of a window browser. Beware. Make it a point to click on it to assure its functionality... it is one way to find out that is not just a picture! Well, some sites have the "https" in the web address' prefix. Yes, those are also secured. If you are to require a log in on your site, you must have to have that internet security digital device.

Like me, you should be cautious too. Happy browsing!
